Allison!!! This style goddess just came out of nowhere and made a huge statement. Her loud fuzzy peach pullover features POM POMS! Outrageous! It perfectly compliments her basic black loafers, a high waisted checkered skirt, skinny pink belt and a basic Oxford shirt. The rolled sleeves and white socks complete the look, not to mention her amazing loose blonde curls. Wild but feminine and pulled together. I haven’t been this excited about a Degrassi outfit since Voula left DJH. And that’s saying something…
Okay, okay. I know Clutch is a mega-douche BUT let’s remember that Degrassi is a television show and not a documentary in spite of its incredibly moving portrayals of real life situations. What is 100% real is how good Clutch looks in this outfit. I could not pass up the chance to recognize Clutch’s style win. Basic navy chucks, skinny sunbleached jeans, expertly cuffed, and topped off with a breezy blue tee. And of course his signature untamed locks. It’s this sort of fashion know-how that means you can get away with driving such an outrageous ride and still appear ultra-cool. Welcome to Degrassi High.
Caitlin’s post-Rick, pre-Claude look may be all over the place, but her understated outfits really rake in the style points in my book. Caitlin masters the casual look in a loose grey and white striped tee and high-waisted pleated shorts, a simple necklace and braided leather belt. Check out the wide sleeves on that tee!
Joey is just a lost puppy who doesn’t know what to do with himself when his crush looks this good without even trying.
My loathing of Michelle is no secret (B.L.T. IS MY BOYFRIEND YOU SHY CRYBABY) but I gotta give credit where credit is due: I love her top. That matte grey with puffy mid-length sleeves, cream trim and tie colloar is to-die-for. Well played.
Alexa, maybe one day I’ll actually talk about your clothes. Today is not that day.
Shy-Crybaby’s floral cardigan and popped pink collar is a pretty cute look and B.L.T.’s blue patterned sweater is nothing short of amazing with that light blue collar adding a touch of class and character. Colourful collars popping out from under patterns - did they coordinate? Don’t discount the blonde in the middle. His casual look in a classic blue turtleneck is understated but knows what’s up.
Lucy - I can’t even look at you in that jacket.
The Wheeler funeral was truly one of the greatest fashion moments in Degrassi history. If Mr. Raditch and Ms. Avery looked this good all the time, Degrassi Style would be a mere afterthought of a project entirely dedicated to them. I never understood why Cailtin had such a major girl crush on Avery until I saw her wearing that hat… it all makes sense now! Miss Avery is a GODDESS! Has Raditch always been this hot? When did Terry Richardson join the cast? Joey looks dapper in a standard suit and tie and it doesn’t hurt that he’s like a lost puppy who doesn’t know how to help his BFF.
The lesson to take away from all this? Everyone looks better at a funeral.
It may be his parents’ funeral but Wheels has never looked better! His feathered mullet has finally reached the perfect length and his trademark glasses has never been more suited to his style. What’s under that oversized trench? We only get a peek of a crisp white shirt and a skinny black tie. Wheels proves that just because you feel awful, it doesn’t mean you have to look awful.
Is his grandmother rocking an urban turban? DIVA!
Caitlin finally pulls it together!
Caitlin had a rough time during her tragic (and unaired) split with Rick and has been going through that awkward growing-out-short-hair phase for what seems like forever! Even her clothing choices made me question her ability to dress herself post-Rick. Joey may be a total downgrade in both manliness and fashion sense but if Caitlin being happy makes her dress as well as this, I can deal! That peachy-pink colour is hard to pull off, but Caitlin does so with ease. She expertly tucked her loose fitting tee with baby sleeves into her high waisted jeans. And don’t think I didn’t notice the ever so slightly rolled cuff at the bottom of her jeans and the colour coordinated headphones - delightful!
Joey… what happened? I’m not feeling that shirt at all. I liked your look more when you were trying to be Rick!
Meet Paul. This Borden High student dons stunning dark grey glasses, a striped polo with a grey patterned blazer. It’s no wonder he caught Lucy’s eye. Swoon!
Holy differentiation, twins! Not sure which is which, but I believe it’s Erica rocking the navy blazer over a white tee with a highwasted classic plaid skirt. Sorry, Heather, your sister has better style this round. Cute pullover though! Stephanie Kaye is depressed here and it’s totally sad, but is it just me or has girlfriend’s hair never looked better?
